NAZI REGIME WAR ZONE
Chelsey has a vision: She’s in a place like a war zone. She lays her head down on a folded blanket, on a bed with no sheets. Men who come into the basement must crawl down a hold of concrete. She tells one, “There are too many in this house.” She’s very ill. She gets up to find her mother. She tells her Uncle Howard, (and she’s crying), “You must go find us a car.” He says he’ll do it. End.
Chelsey took her daughter to a doctor for a sore throat. The office is on the seventh floor downtown. Chelsey looked down into the street to see a car wreck. The doctor heard her scream. Chelsey’s uncle Howard got a car to drive her father to the west, where she was. Her father is legally blind. He stole her mother’s paycheck to pay for the car. Her mother had divorced him, but they had the same post office box. Howard felt guilty about what he’d done. Plus, Chelsey’s father was murdered, after two years, in her town.
